Tim Fazekas

Co-Founder and President, Big Sky Valor Outdoors 

Tim Fazekas is a dedicated veteran and accomplished professional with a deep commitment to service and the outdoors. A former Marine Infantryman, Tim served with honor before dedicating 12 years as a fire officer, paramedic, and haz-mat technician in the fire service, until a line-of-duty injury led to his medical retirement. He then earned a degree in cardiopulmonary science and worked 10 years in healthcare, including roles as an adult and neonatal critical care respiratory therapist and two years as a Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) contract instructor for the DoD and state/local public safety organizations. Currently, Tim serves as Executive Vice President of a leading medical technology company, supplying implantable hardware to the VA and DoD.  

An avid outdoorsman since youth, Tim is a former licensed captain, fishing guide, and competitive shooter. He holds black belts in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Kenpo Karate, embodying discipline and resilience. As co-founder of Big Sky Valor Outdoors, Tim empowers veterans through outdoor experiences. He splits his time between Florida and Montana, blending his passion for adventure and leadership.

Chad Jacobson

Treasurer

Chad is a seasoned outdoorsman with a deep passion for Montana’s wild places and a lifelong commitment to service. A former fly fishing guide, casting instructor, and fly tier, Chad has spent decades teaching others to connect with nature through angling. He is also an avid hunter and conservation advocate.

Professionally, Chad serves as the Executive General Manager of a leading federal medical device company, where he oversees national operations, strategy, and compliance. His combined background in leadership, logistics, and fieldwork makes him a natural fit for his role as Treasurer at BSVO, where he provides financial oversight and facilitates access to private lands for guided hunting and fishing experiences.

As a founding supporter of Big Sky Valor Outdoors, Chad is honored to help serve those who’ve served by offering them a chance to heal, reconnect, and thrive in Montana’s backcountry.
